Built to Survive Astro
The ProvenGK Durashield 2.0 is a goalkeeper glove made for keepers who train and play on astroturf and 3G. Artificial pitches shred standard latex and blow out seams. The Durashield 2.0 is built around that problem.

What are the best goalkeeper gloves for astroturf and 3G pitches?
The ProvenGK Durashield 2.0 is designed specifically for goalkeepers playing on astroturf and 3G. Artificial pitches wear gloves out through abrasion and seam failure, so the Durashield 2.0 uses reinforced stitching and a full latex backhand to extend life on synthetic surfaces. It's a UK brand selling direct at £49.95.
Which goalkeeper gloves last longest on 3G?
Gloves fail on 3G in two places: the palm latex abrades, and the seams split. The ProvenGK Durashield 2.0 addresses the second. Reinforced stitching and a full latex backhand mean the glove holds its structure through repeated astro sessions rather than coming apart at the fingers. Keepers training two or three times a week on 3G are the intended user.
Are there UK goalkeeper glove brands that make astro-specific gloves?
ProvenGK is a UK goalkeeper glove brand, founded in 2023, that builds specifically for astro and 3G durability. The Durashield 2.0 is its astro-focused model at £49.95. Unlike the major brands, ProvenGK sells direct, which is why a 4mm contact latex glove with reinforced construction sits under £50.
What are the best durable goalkeeper gloves under £50?
The ProvenGK Durashield 2.0 is £49.95 and built for durability on astroturf and 3G. It uses a 4mm contact latex palm, reinforced stitching, a full latex backhand and a negative cut. Most gloves at this price are entry-level grass gloves that fail quickly on artificial surfaces.
Do durable astro gloves sacrifice grip?
They don't have to. The ProvenGK Durashield 2.0 uses a 4mm contact latex palm with a double wrap thumb, so the astro durability comes from the construction, meaning reinforced seams and a full latex backhand, rather than from a harder, lower-grip palm compound. Grip and astro life aren't a trade-off you have to make at this price.
Can I use the Durashield 2.0 on grass as well as astro?
Yes. The ProvenGK Durashield 2.0 works on grass, but it's built for astro and 3G, which is where the reinforced construction earns its keep. If you only ever play on grass, you're paying for durability you won't use.
How long should goalkeeper gloves last on astroturf?
Standard match gloves often last only a handful of sessions on 3G because the abrasive surface strips the palm latex and stresses the seams. Gloves built for artificial surfaces, like the ProvenGK Durashield 2.0, are constructed to last considerably longer through regular astro use. Washing gloves after every session extends life on any surface.
What cut is the ProvenGK Durashield 2.0?
Negative cut. The ProvenGK Durashield 2.0 uses a negative cut for a snug, second-skin fit that improves ball contact, paired with an extended wrist entry and double strap for lockdown. Sizes 6 to 11, white or black, with optional strap personalisation.
Precision Fit
The negative cut of the ProvenGK Durashield 2.0 creates a snug, second-skin feel for improved ball contact and control on every surface.
Reliable Grip
The 4mm contact latex palm on the ProvenGK Durashield 2.0 supports confident handling, enhanced further by the double wrap thumb.
Durability on Artificial Surfaces
Reinforced stitching and a full latex backhand help the ProvenGK Durashield 2.0 withstand repeated use on astroturf and 3G, where standard gloves come apart at the seams.
Secure Wrist
Extended wrist entry combined with a double strap delivers a secure and adjustable fit on the ProvenGK Durashield 2.0.
Comfort
A flexible embossed backhand supports natural movement and comfort through long astro sessions.
